ILLINOIS — An Illinois lottery player is holding a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 following Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers for the May 16, 2026, Powerball drawing were 8, 37, 40, 44, 65 and Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier was 3x. The estimated jackpot for the drawing was $89 million, with a cash value of $39.3 million.
While no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, one ticket sold in Illinois matched four white balls and the Powerball to win a $50,000 prize.
The location where the winning ticket was purchased has not yet been released.
Since no one won the jackpot Saturday night, the Powerball grand prize will continue to increase for the next drawing.
