GEORGIA — A $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Georgia for Saturday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.
The winning numbers for the May 16, 2026, Powerball drawing were 8, 37, 40, 44, 65 and Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier was 3x. The estimated jackpot for the drawing was $89 million, with a cash value of $39.3 million.
While no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, one ticket sold in Georgia matched five numbers to claim a $1 million prize.
The location where the winning ticket was sold has not yet been announced.
The Powerball jackpot will continue to grow for the next drawing after no grand prize winner was recorded Saturday night.
