TENNESSEE — A Tennessee lottery player won $50,000 in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, according to lottery officials.
The winning numbers for the May 16, 2026, drawing were 8, 37, 40, 44, 65 and Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 3x. The estimated jackpot stood at $89 million, with a cash value of $39.3 million.
No ticket matched all six numbers to claim the jackpot, but one ticket sold in Tennessee matched four white balls and the Powerball to win a $50,000 prize.
Officials have not yet released where in Tennessee the winning ticket was purchased.
Because there was no jackpot winner Saturday night, the Powerball jackpot will continue to climb ahead of the next drawing.
