ILLINOIS — A 19-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday morning on Chicago’s Southwest Side, according to police.
The shooting happened around 6:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 86th Street near Rumsey Avenue, authorities said.
Chicago police said the victim was getting into his car when he was approached by a group of men. The suspects then exited a blue vehicle and opened fire on the victim.
The 19-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made, and no one is currently in custody.
Chicago police continue to investigate the homicide.
