TENNESSEE — Interstate 40 East reopened Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash near Pellissippi Parkway, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
TDOT reported the crash around 8 a.m. Wednesday. The crash temporarily closed all eastbound lanes of I-40 in the area as traffic was diverted while emergency crews responded to the scene.
As of around 9 a.m., TDOT said all lanes had reopened to traffic.
Officials have not released information about injuries or the number of vehicles involved in the crash.
Drivers traveling through the area were urged to continue using caution as traffic conditions returned to normal.
