KANSAS — A 53-year-old man from Ottawa died following an early morning UTV crash in Franklin County, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews responded just before 3:25 a.m. Friday, May 8, to the area of Nebraska and Jackson roads south of Ottawa after receiving reports of a collision.
When first responders arrived, they found the 53-year-old Ottawa man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the driver of the UTV, a 34-year-old man from Rantoul, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials have not released information about his condition.
Authorities said the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. No additional information has been released.
