KENTUCKY — A crash on Interstate 64 West has caused heavy traffic delays near downtown Louisville on Friday afternoon.
According to TRIMARC, the crash happened near 22nd Street shortly before 5 p.m.
Multiple westbound lanes of I-64 are closed as crews respond to the scene, causing traffic to back up into downtown Louisville.
MetroSafe officials said the crash was initially reported as an injury accident, but no injuries had been confirmed as of Friday evening.
Officials said the lane closures are expected to remain in place for at least an hour while emergency crews work at the scene.
