Body pulled from water in Maryland, investigation underway

MARYLAND — A man’s body was pulled from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor early Friday morning, according to police.

The Baltimore Police Department said officers responded around 3:40 a.m. on May 8 to the 600 block of East Pratt Street near Pier 4 after a body was found in the water.

Authorities said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reported there were no visible signs of injury or trauma on the man’s body.

The body was transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner, which will determine the man’s identity and cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
