INDIANA — A person was killed and another was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash in rural Kosciusko County, according to authorities.
Police said the crash happened just before 3 p.m. on County Road 700 North near County Road 200 East.
Preliminary investigators determined that a gray sedan traveling west on CR 700 N crossed the center line for an unknown reason and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck.
Emergency crews found the driver of the sedan, identified as 49-year-old Ranee Tom, dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to a hospital because of the severity of his injuries.
The Kosciusko County FACT Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
