KENTUCKY — A Lexington man has been arrested after police say he allegedly put methamphetamine into a container of chocolate milk that was consumed by multiple people.

34-year-old Eric Rhule was taken into custody after authorities reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly showed him placing an unknown substance into a container filled with chocolate milk.

Police said at least five people drank from the container and later became sick. Investigators believe the substance placed into the milk was methamphetamine.

Authorities said Rhule was later questioned by his probation officer and was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and Suboxone before being arrested.

Rhule is facing five counts of second-degree wanton endangerment, one count of first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance involving less than 2 grams of methamphetamine, and one count of second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

The incident remains under investigation.
