LOUISIANA — Louisiana State Police arrested two people Thursday morning following a pursuit involving a motorcycle in Metairie, authorities said.
According to state police, troopers attempted to stop a Yamaha motorcycle for traffic violations shortly before 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Clearview Parkway and Park Drive South.
Investigators said the driver refused to stop, leading troopers on a chase along Clearview Parkway. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control of the motorcycle near Clearview Parkway and Prince Street.
Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody at the scene. Authorities did not immediately release their identities.
State police said no injuries were reported during the incident.
Troopers also recovered narcotics and a weapon during the investigation, according to authorities.
The investigation remains ongoing.
