SOUTH CAROLINA — Two men have been arrested following a months-long investigation into illegal drug activity in the Myrtle Beach and Conway areas, according to the Horry County Police Department.

Authorities said the investigation began in December and led to the execution of two search warrants on Tuesday. As a result, 33-year-old Edmund Leviner and 29-year-old Kemondre Anderson were taken into custody.

Leviner is facing charges including drug trafficking, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and a probation and parole violation. Anderson faces similar drug-related charges, along with possession of a machine gun and driving under suspension.

During the investigation, officers seized approximately 245 grams of fentanyl, 143 grams of methamphetamine, and 103 grams of marijuana, along with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police also reported recovering eight illegally possessed firearms. Two of the weapons were equipped with illegal conversion devices, commonly known as “switches,” which allow the firearms to function as fully automatic weapons.

Both men were booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
