
SOUTH CAROLINA — A serious crash on Interstate 77 in Chester County has caused significant traffic delays Tuesday morning, according to officials.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on northbound I-77 near mile marker 64.
Multiple emergency crews responded to the scene, and as of late morning, the right lane remains closed while crews work to clear the crash.
Traffic backups stretch for approximately four miles, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes and expect delays for several hours as crews continue working at the scene.
No information about injuries or the cause of the crash has been released. The incident remains under investigation.
