OKLAHOMA — One woman was killed and two others were injured in a crash Tuesday along U.S. Highway 169 in Tulsa County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred when an 89-year-old man and his 83-year-old wife attempted to cross US-169 from a stop sign at 16th Street North.
Investigators said the couple’s vehicle was struck by a northbound car driven by a 57-year-old woman. The impact caused the couple’s vehicle to spin and overturn, coming to rest on its side and blocking the northbound lane.
All three people involved were injured in the crash. Officials said the 83-year-old woman later died from her injuries.
The other driver and the 89-year-old man were also hurt, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
