
TEXAS — Thousands of homes and businesses across Texas are without electricity Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, approximately 4,395 customers are without power statewide, representing about 0.03% of the more than 15.6 million customers tracked.
Harris County reported the highest number of outages, with more than 2,300 customers affected. Other counties with notable outages included Bexar County, Fort Bend County and Galveston County, each reporting several hundred customers without service.
Among utility providers, CenterPoint Energy reported the largest number of outages, with more than 2,900 customers affected. Other providers, including Oncor, CPS Energy and Entergy, also reported smaller numbers of outages.
Officials said Texas currently has the second-highest number of outages nationwide, though the overall percentage of customers affected remains relatively low.
No widespread cause for the outages was immediately identified. Restoration efforts were ongoing Tuesday morning.
