GEORGIA — An arrest has been made in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this week in Albany, according to police.

The Albany Police Department said Braylen Robinson was taken into custody following an investigation into a shooting that occurred April 28 in the 1000 block of South Cleveland Street.

Officials say the incident left multiple people injured and resulted in the death of 31-year-old Kiambria Young.

Investigators say Robinson has also been linked to a second shooting on April 29 in South Albany. In that case, a male victim was shot while traveling in a vehicle with a female driver and an infant child.

During the investigation, officers attempted to make contact with Robinson, which led to a pursuit after he fled from law enforcement.

Robinson was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Dougherty County Jail.

He is facing multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers, reckless driving and felony fleeing and attempting to elude.

Authorities say the homicide investigation remains ongoing.
