SOUTH CAROLINA — A man has died following a late-night shooting in Greenwood County, according to authorities.
The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 41-year-old Michael C. Boston, a resident of Greenwood.
Officials said the coroner’s office was called to the emergency room at Self Regional Medical Center, where Boston was being treated for a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said no other injuries were reported in the incident.
Details about the shooter or shooters have not been released, and investigators have not identified a motive.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Greenwood Police Department and the Greenwood County Coroner’s Office.
