Two people arrested following lawn mower stunt inside Florida store

FLORIDA — Two teenagers have been arrested after allegedly carrying out and filming disruptive social media stunts at businesses in Ocala, according to police.

The Ocala Police Department said the most recent incident happened Saturday at a Target store on Southwest College Road. Investigators said one of the teens drove a lawn mower through the store, damaging a door, while the other recorded the stunt.

Police identified the suspects as 18-year-olds Janek Szkaradek and Luke Charske.

Authorities said the video was intended for social media but created a dangerous situation for customers and employees inside the store.

Investigators also linked the pair to a second incident the night before at a nearby Culver’s restaurant. Police said Szkaradek went inside the business and used a leaf blower indoors as part of another filmed stunt, disrupting operations.

Szkaradek is charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct related to the Culver’s incident, along with an additional disorderly conduct charge connected to the Target stunt. Charske is charged as a principal for disorderly conduct for his role in recording the Target incident.

Police said both teens are in custody and emphasized that similar social media stunts can result in serious criminal charges.
