MISSISSIPPI — A Florida woman has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop on Interstate 10, according to authorities.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said the stop occurred Wednesday and led to the discovery of more than six pounds of cocaine.
Amy Broadt, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is charged with aggravated trafficking of cocaine.
Deputies said a K9 unit alerted them to the possible presence of narcotics during the stop. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered the cocaine in the trunk.
The case has been turned over to Harrison County narcotics investigators for further handling.
