NORTH CAROLINA — Police in Kannapolis are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead Monday night.
According to the Kannapolis Police Department, officers responded to a home on Coldwater Lane and found the victim, identified as Legend Imir Benjamin, dead inside.
Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident. Investigators also reported that a red SUV was seen leaving the scene.
No arrests have been announced.
