FLORIDA — A statewide Purple Alert has been issued for a missing 74-year-old man last seen in Miami Gardens, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Authorities identified the man as David Johnson. He is described as a Black male with white hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
Officials said Johnson was last known to be in the Miami Gardens area of Miami-Dade County. Additional details about the circumstances of his disappearance were not immediately released.
The alert is being distributed statewide through FDLE’s Missing Child Information Center system to help locate Johnson as quickly as possible.
The Miami Gardens Police Department is leading the investigation.
