KENTUCKY — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager in Garrard County, according to officials.
The teen has been identified as 16-year-old Yanixel Garcia.
Officials with the county’s emergency management office said Garcia was last known to be in the 6000 block of Cartersville Road in Lancaster around 9 p.m. Saturday.
She was last seen wearing black cargo pants, a black T-shirt and a tan hoodie, and was not wearing shoes or socks, according to officials.
Authorities believe Garcia may have been attempting to get a ride to Lexington.
