
TEXAS — Two people are dead following a crash involving a minivan in Fort Worth, where authorities say a large amount of suspected liquid methamphetamine was discovered inside the vehicle.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers responded to the crash around 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Delga Street. When they arrived, they found the front passenger dead at the scene and the driver suffering from serious injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, the driver also died.
During the investigation, Fort Worth Fire Department crews located 10 five-gallon buckets containing an unidentified liquid inside the minivan. Narcotics officers were called to the scene, and the substance later tested presumptively positive for liquid methamphetamine.
Officials estimate the total weight of the suspected drugs at approximately 480 pounds, with a potential street value between $1 million and $3 million.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment following the incident but is expected to be released.
The Drug Enforcement Administration will handle further analysis and disposal of the наркотиков, while the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official causes of death.
The crash remains under investigation.
