
MICHIGAN — More than 7,600 homes and businesses across Michigan are currently without power Thursday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 7,660 customers are without electricity statewide out of more than 5 million tracked customers, representing about 0.15% of the state.
Allegan County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 1,029 customers currently without power. Calhoun County follows with 993 outages, while Barry County has 785. Other counties with notable outages include Kent County with 702 customers affected and Washtenaw County with 659.
By utility provider, Consumers Energy reports the largest number of outages, with 6,349 customers currently without service. DTE Energy has 783 outages, while Great Lakes Energy and Indiana Michigan Power report smaller numbers.
Michigan currently has the fourth-highest number of outages in the United States.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, though no estimated timeline for full service restoration has been provided.
