PENNSYLVANIA — A school bus carrying elementary students was involved in a crash Wednesday morning in Butler County, Pennsylvania, according to officials.
The incident occurred on Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. Authorities said the bus went off the roadway while transporting students to Connoquenessing Elementary School.
Butler Area School District communications director Kara Droney said police and emergency medical services responded to the scene. Parents and guardians of the students were notified following the crash.
“All students are being evaluated by EMS before continuing to school,” the district said in a statement.
No additional details, including the cause of the crash or whether any injuries were reported, have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
