
FLORIDA — Two people were arrested following a major drug bust in Bradford County, according to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said detectives with the Drug Task Force assisted the Florida Department of Corrections with a planned compliance operation. During the operation, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant for narcotic and narcotic-related items.
During the search, investigators reported finding 380.70 grams of marijuana, 371.40 grams of MDMA, 4.80 grams of cocaine and 2.1 grams of mushrooms. Deputies also recovered six sublingual Suboxone strips, five THC vape cartridges, eight items of drug paraphernalia and $345 in cash.
Officials said Travis Covington and Velma Covington were taken into custody and booked into the Bradford County Jail.
No additional details about the suspects or potential charges were immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
