
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person is dead following a shooting at a house party in Abbeville, and a suspect has been arrested, according to authorities.
The Abbeville Police Department said officers responded to a home on Adams Drive where a large party was taking place. When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim later died from those injuries.
Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Isaac Lyons. He has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Khallid Smith. Officials said his death has been ruled a homicide.
The investigation remains ongoing.
