$50,000 Powerball ticket winner sold in Indiana

INDIANA — An Indiana Lottery player is holding a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 following Monday night’s drawing, which featured an estimated jackpot of $225 million.

The winning numbers drawn on June 8 were 3, 24, 34, 43 and 49, with Powerball 20. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 3x. At the time of the drawing, the jackpot was estimated at $225 million, with a cash value of approximately $100.4 million.

The Indiana-winning ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball, earning a $50,000 prize. Unlike some higher-tier winners in other states, the Indiana ticket did not include a Power Play multiplier that would have increased the prize amount.

No jackpot-winning ticket was immediately reported from the drawing, meaning the grand prize is expected to grow for the next Powerball drawing.

Details about where the $50,000 winning ticket was sold in Indiana and whether it has been claimed were not immediately available.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Non-jackpot prizes range from $4 to $1 million and can be multiplied with the optional Power Play feature, except for the Match 5 prize.

Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning ticket before claiming a prize.

The next Powerball drawing will offer a larger jackpot as the game continues in search of its next grand-prize winner.
