GEORGIA — The Atlanta Police Department announced that 40 people were arrested during a large-scale drug enforcement operation conducted April 18 in downtown Atlanta.

According to police, the operation—dubbed “Operation No Smoke”—was carried out with assistance from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office at a warehouse located at 275 Ted Turner Drive SW. Authorities said the investigation began after receiving an anonymous tip and culminated in the execution of a search warrant at the site.

When officers arrived, they encountered more than 70 individuals gathered for what officials described as a pop-up event. The event had been widely anticipated, with more than 1,400 registered attendees expected, along with additional walk-up participants.

During the search of the approximately 69,000-square-foot warehouse, officers reported seizing a large quantity of illegal narcotics and other items.

Authorities said the operation led to the recovery of about 1,220 pounds of raw marijuana, 391 pounds of THC-infused edibles, and 29 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms. Investigators also confiscated 15 firearms—two of which belonged to security personnel—along with $32,329 in cash and nine vehicles.

Police said all arrests are considered public information, and those taken into custody are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. Further details about the individuals arrested and potential charges were not immediately released.
