ARIZONA — An Arizona Lottery player is holding a Powerball ticket worth $150,000 following Monday night’s drawing, which featured an estimated $225 million jackpot.
The winning numbers drawn on June 8 were 3, 24, 34, 43 and 49, with Powerball 20. The Power Play multiplier was 3x. At the time of the drawing, the jackpot carried an estimated annuity value of $225 million, with a cash option of approximately $100.4 million.
The Arizona-winning ticket matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball, a prize level normally worth $50,000. Because the ticket included the 3x Power Play option, the prize increased to $150,000. Similar Arizona winners have recently seen $50,000 prizes tripled through the Power Play feature.
No information about the winning ticket’s location or whether the prize has been claimed was immediately available.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. The Power Play option can multiply non-jackpot prizes when selected.
Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning ticket before claiming a prize. The next Powerball drawing will offer another chance at a multi-million-dollar jackpot.
