
OHIO — A Plain City woman is celebrating a major lottery win after purchasing a scratch-off ticket at a local gas station.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the woman won a $150,000 top prize playing the “Aces and 8s” $5 scratch-off game.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 26.75%, the winner will take home $109,875.
Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at the Plain City Marathon, located at 525 W. Main St. in Plain City.
The “Aces and 8s” game offers players the chance to win up to 15 times on a single ticket. As of April 13, seven top prizes of $150,000 remain unclaimed.
Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education across the state.
No additional information about the winner was released.
