INDIANA — Two people were hospitalized and one person was arrested following a hit-and-run crash in downtown Indianapolis on Sunday night, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded around 9 p.m. to a report of a hit-and-run crash on 10th Street near North Meridian Street.
When police arrived, they found two injured people at the scene. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately released.
Authorities also located a suspect who was allegedly attempting to leave the area following the crash.
The suspect was taken into custody and preliminarily charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing injury, reckless driving and resisting law enforcement.
Investigators have not said whether the weapons were connected to the crash.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
