FLORIDA — Two people were killed and another person was arrested on a DUI charge following a crash Sunday evening in Lutz, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Cypress Lane at approximately 5:56 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said two people died as a result of the crash. Another person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities did not immediately release information on the extent of the person’s injuries.
Investigators said one individual was arrested for driving under the influence in connection with the crash.
Additional details about those involved and the circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
