PENNSYLVANIA — Two people were killed in a crash Friday evening on Jonestown Road, according to Dauphin County dispatchers. The accident was reported at 4:36 p.m. in the 4900 block near Earl Avenue.

Lower Paxton Township Police and South Central EMS responded to the scene.

Authorities say a silver Dodge minivan with three people inside rear-ended a white Ford van that had only the driver inside. After the initial collision, the Dodge veered off the road and struck a concrete wall.

Two occupants of the Dodge, including the driver—65-year-old Calvin Haivor—died at the scene. The name of the second victim has not yet been released.

The third person in the minivan was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the white van was not injured and stayed at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to call 717-558-6900 or email Officer Brian McIntyre at bmcintyre@lower-paxton-pa.gov.
