NORTH CAROLINA — Two men were arrested after an early morning shooting at a bar in Knightdale, according to police.
Authorities said officers responded around 1:45 a.m. Saturday to a shooting at Sports Page Bar and Grill on North Smithfield Road.
Investigators said a fight inside the bar escalated when one man pulled out a gun and opened fire. One person was shot in the abdomen, and another person was grazed by a bullet. Police said a vehicle in the parking lot was also struck by gunfire.
The suspect and two other men were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said 34-year-old Joseph Alston of Knightdale was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct and damage to property.
Authorities said 32-year-old William Fuller of Wendell was charged with intoxicated and disruptive behavior and affray.
The investigation remains ongoing.
