
MINNESOTA — Two people were arrested after Rochester police said officers found a pound of methamphetamine inside a vehicle Tuesday evening.
According to the Rochester Police Department, detectives with the Criminal Interdiction Unit alerted patrol officers shortly before 6 p.m. about a person with an active arrest warrant near 6th Street NW in Rochester, Minnesota.
Officers located the individual inside a parked vehicle along with another person who also had outstanding warrants, police said.
A K9 unit was called to the scene and alerted officers to the possible presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search, officers allegedly discovered about one pound of methamphetamine.
Police arrested both individuals, identified as 36-year-old Mark Alzamora and 33-year-old Sieherra Colglazier, both of Rochester.
Authorities said the pair were initially taken into custody on their outstanding warrants and are now facing additional drug-related charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
