OHIO — Two individuals were arrested late Sunday night after a routine traffic stop led deputies to discover methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside a vehicle.
Just before midnight, deputies pulled over a gray sedan traveling east on State Route 47 after it crossed the center line near State Route 235.
The vehicle’s driver and three passengers were identified, including Thomas Whitehead, 40, and Joplyn Blosser, 22.
Due to suspicious behavior, K9 Tega was brought in to assist with the stop. The dog alerted to the presence of drugs near the rear passenger door, prompting further investigation.
Blosser was found to have a small bag of methamphetamine concealed in her pants.
A subsequent search uncovered a glass pipe, syringes, and additional methamphetamine.
She was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Whitehead, who admitted to using drugs earlier in the day, was found to be on probation. He was taken into custody for probation violation.
The driver and another passenger were released without charges. Blosser and Whitehead were transported to the Logan County Jail.
