SOUTH CAROLINA — Three people suffered life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle crash shut down part of North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach on Saturday evening, according to police.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department said officers responded around 6:20 p.m. to the area of 5th Avenue North and North Kings Highway for a vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.
Police said three people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials did not immediately release the identities of those involved.
As officers investigated the crash, North Kings Highway was closed in both directions from 5th Avenue North to 7th Avenue North.
Authorities advised drivers to expect delays and seek alternate routes while crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
