PENNSYLVANIA — Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after authorities seized large amounts of narcotics during a drug bust in Blair County, Pennsylvania, according to Altoona police.
Investigators said officers observed two vehicles meeting Tuesday in the parking lot of a Burger King near Pleasant Valley Boulevard and Kettle Street before conducting separate traffic stops on both vehicles.
Police said one of the vehicles, an Audi sedan driven by Shawnta Carmon and occupied by Corey Hilario, was searched after a K9 officer detected the odor of narcotics.
Authorities said a second traffic stop involving a Nissan Rogue driven by Lindsey Longenecker also led to a K9 alert for drugs.
Search warrants executed on both vehicles resulted in the seizure of multiple narcotics, including approximately five pounds of methamphetamine, along with heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine, according to investigators.
Carmon, Hilario and Longenecker were all taken into custody and are facing drug trafficking charges in connection with the investigation.
Additional details about the suspects and possible court proceedings were not immediately released.
