KENTUCKY — Three Pulaski County residents were arrested following a traffic stop on Highway 461 on October 27 after police observed a vehicle speeding and crossing the center lane multiple times.

The driver, 48-year-old David Pyles of Somerset, and two passengers, Autumn Parrett and Joshua Barnett, drew attention after Pyles began revving the engine and a passenger in the back seat moved erratically.

Detectives ordered all three to exit the vehicle, and a K-9 unit conducted an air sniff that indicated the presence of narcotics.

During a search, police found 225.9 grams of methamphetamine, a bag containing four Gabapentin tablets and one Xanax tablet, marijuana, and additional drug paraphernalia.

Pyles was arrested and charged with speeding 10 MPH over the limit, trafficking in a controlled substance (first-degree, second offense), drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain required insurance.

Parrett was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense), drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Barnett was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense), possession of a controlled substance (first-degree, second offense), possession of a controlled substance (third-degree, unspecified), and drug paraphernalia.

All three remain in custody as authorities continue their investigation.
