Thousands without power in Texas

TEXAS — Thousands of utility customers across Texas are currently without electricity Saturday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, 3,778 customers are without power statewide out of more than 15.4 million tracked customers. The outages currently affect approximately 0.02% of customers monitored across the state.

Jefferson County reports the highest number of outages in Texas, with 1,208 customers without electricity. Harris County follows with 829 outages, while Williamson County reports 291 customers without power. Randall County has 181 outages, and Dallas County reports 169.

Among utility providers, Entergy currently has the largest number of affected customers, reporting 1,274 outages. CenterPoint Energy reports 919 customers without service, while Oncor has 618 outages. American Electric Power Texas reports 265 affected customers, and Rio Grande Electric Cooperative has 211 outages.

According to PowerOutage.us, Texas currently ranks seventh in the nation for the total number of customers without power. Jefferson County is currently the hardest-hit county in the state, with nearly 1% of tracked customers affected.

Utility crews continue working to restore service as active outages remain scattered across Texas Saturday morning.
