
TENNESSEE — More than 10,000 customers across Tennessee are without power Tuesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 10,204 homes and businesses are reported without electricity, representing about 0.29% of the nearly 3.5 million customers tracked statewide. Tennessee ranked third in the nation for total outages and fourth for the percentage of customers affected.
Shelby County accounted for the vast majority of outages, with 9,125 customers without power — more than 2% of those tracked in the county. Other affected areas included Marion County with 517 outages, Washington County with 127, Rutherford County with 105 and Davidson County with 76.
Among utility providers, Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division reported the largest number of outages, also totaling 9,125 customers. Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative reported 540 outages, while Middle Tennessee Electric, Bright Ridge and Nashville Electric Service each reported smaller numbers.
Utility crews were working to restore service, though no estimated restoration times were available as of Tuesday morning.
