
PENNSYLVANIA — Thousands of customers across Pennsylvania are without electricity Tuesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, about 2,623 homes and businesses are without power statewide, representing roughly 0.04% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked.
Westmoreland County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,348 customers affected. Other counties with notable outages included Centre County with 341, Tioga County with 212, Montgomery County with 109 and Delaware County with 108.
Among utility providers, FirstEnergy reported the largest number of outages, with 2,072 customers without service. PECO Energy Company reported 409 outages, while PPL Electric Utilities reported 137. Smaller outages were also reported by other providers across the state.
Pennsylvania ranked fifth in the nation for the total number of outages at the time of the report and sixth for the percentage of customers affected.
Restoration efforts are ongoing.
