
INDIANA — More than 3,800 customers across Indiana are without electricity Friday morning, with the largest concentrations of outages reported in central portions of the state, according to PowerOutage.com.
As of the latest update Friday morning, 3,883 customers are currently without power statewide out of more than 3.28 million tracked customers. Indiana currently ranks third in the nation for the number of outages and third for the percentage of customers affected.
The hardest-hit county is Hamilton County, where 2,183 customers are without electricity, accounting for about 1.25% of tracked customers in the county. Madison County is reporting 1,068 outages, while Vermillion County has 453 customers without service.
Among utility providers, Duke Energy is reporting the largest number of outages with 2,664 customers affected. Anderson Light & Power is reporting 1,068 outages, representing the highest outage percentage among tracked utilities at 3.1%.
Smaller outages are also being reported in Jasper County, Monroe County, Marshall County and Marion County.
Utility crews continue working Friday morning to restore service to affected customers across the state.
