
FLORIDA — More than 4,400 customers across Florida are currently without electricity Wednesday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 4,491 homes and businesses statewide are experiencing active power outages. Florida currently ranks sixth in the nation for the total number of outages.
Marion County has the highest number of outages in the state, with 2,253 customers currently without power. Other counties reporting significant outages include Collier County with 513 outages, Palm Beach County with 406, Miami-Dade County with 300 and Pinellas County with 135.
Among utility providers, Duke Energy reported the largest number of outages with 2,559 customers affected. Florida Power & Light Company reported 1,537 outages statewide, while Tampa Electric reported 108 customers without power.
Florida Keys Electric Cooperative reported 104 outages and currently has the highest percentage of customers affected among tracked utilities in the state.
Overall, about 0.04% of the more than 11.8 million customers tracked across Florida are currently without power Wednesday morning.
Utility crews continue working to restore service in affected areas across the state.
