Seven people sent to hospital following crash involving bus in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — Seven people were taken to hospitals Friday morning following a crash involving a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus and at least one other vehicle in Harmar Township.

According to Allegheny County dispatchers, police, firefighters and medics responded to the scene on Freeport Road near the intersection of Pearl Avenue.

Authorities said an SUV sustained heavy front-end damage after apparently crashing into a utility pole. A Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus also suffered damage to its right front side.

Dispatchers confirmed that seven people were transported from the scene to hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
