Police searching for wanted robbery suspect in Ohio

OHIO — Police in Cincinnati are searching for a 39-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery reported last month in the city’s Avondale neighborhood.

According to Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers, Michael Walton is wanted by Cincinnati Police District Four on a felony robbery charge. Investigators said the incident happened on April 10, 2026.

Police allege Walton knowingly struck the victim in the face with an open hand before taking the victim’s cellphone. Authorities did not release additional details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the robbery.

Crime Stoppers described Walton as a Black male standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. Investigators said he was last known to live on Perkins Avenue in the Avondale area of Cincinnati.

According to authorities, Walton also has a criminal history that includes previous robbery, escape, drug, and weapons offenses.

The case is being investigated by Cincinnati Police Department District Four officers. Anyone with information about Walton’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers or Cincinnati police. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
