VIRGINIA — Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a motorcyclist who fled from a trooper during a pursuit that began in Henrico County and continued into the city of Richmond.

According to state police, the incident occurred around 6:08 p.m. on Friday, April 17, when a trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling east on Interstate 64 near the Glenside Drive exit. The driver did not stop, leading to a pursuit.

Authorities said the motorcyclist exited I-64 at Glenside Drive and traveled onto West Broad Street before continuing into Richmond’s Museum District. The pursuit was later terminated after the trooper lost sight of the motorcycle.

The driver is described as a white male believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, with brown to black hair extending to his upper back and a thin build. Police said the motorcycle is black and has a vertically mounted black license plate on the back left side displaying the characters “8435M.”

Virginia State Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
