OHIO — A critical missing alert has been issued for a Hamilton County man diagnosed with early-stage dementia, according to authorities.
Police said 90-year-old Karl Haverland left his home in Green Township around 9:10 a.m. Sunday and was traveling to Butler County but never arrived at his destination.
Investigators said Haverland was later captured on cameras in Erlanger, Kentucky, and subsequently in Madison, Indiana, as authorities worked to track his movements.
Haverland is believed to be driving a black 1992 Ford F-150 Flare-Side pickup truck bearing Ohio license plate GWM8680.
According to the missing alert, Haverland has been diagnosed with the onset of early-stage dementia, raising concerns for his safety and well-being.
Authorities are asking anyone who sees Haverland or his vehicle to contact law enforcement immediately.
The search remains ongoing.
