LOUISIANA — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Hammond man who deputies say may be in danger.
34-year-old Dustin Sharp was reported missing Friday evening.
Investigators said Sharp was last seen on May 10 after he reportedly disappeared into the woods near Oscar Starkey Lane in the Pumpkin Center area after learning upsetting news.
Family members told deputies they have not seen or heard from Sharp since then and fear he could be a danger to himself.
Authorities said Sharp’s bicycle was later found near a pond in an area he was known to visit, but no additional belongings have been located.
Sharp is described as having blue eyes, dirty blond hair and a beard. Deputies said he is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.
Anyone with information about Sharp’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 985-402-0214.
